pretty sad when its cheaper to do all the paperwork and get an SBR AR cheaper then a reg. AR.....prob. going to be my next project
|
I finally was able to find 50 rounds of Federal Law enforcement HST for the .45. All I had was round-nose and I prefer the hollow-points for carry and home. $42 not bad especially since they'll probably last a lifetime as long as no SHTF!
|
was at the gun show yest. , plenty of ammo, just $1/rd for AR nearly $.75 for plinking 45, no 9's to be seen
|
It's because you fucking bastards that just keep storing and not shooting it keep buying the shit out of it. I wish I could punch some of you fucking idiots in the face. THEY ARE NOT GOING TO BAN AMMO. STOP FUCKING FREAKING OUT AND BUYING IT ALL. Some of us would actually like to shoot our guns.
|
wife has put over 300rds DR in the last 2 wks
and prob. 25 12ga rds i've bought about 12-1300rds in the last 2 wks, lol https://danieldefense.com/media/cata...88-07206_1.jpg mmmm........sweetness 10.3", less then an nice AR at todays current prices, thats incl. the trust and stamp, ~$2300 tax and all. |

Police officers in Seattle, Washington held their first gun buyback program in 20 years this weekend, underneath interstate 5, and soon found that private gun collectors were working the large crowd as little makeshift gun shows began dotting the parking lot and sidewalks. Some even had “cash for guns” signs prominently displayed.
Police stood in awe as gun enthusiasts and collectors waved wads of cash for the guns being held by those standing in line for the buyback program. People that had arrived to trade in their weapons for $100 or $200 BuyBack gift cards($100 for handguns, shotguns and rifles, and $200 for assault weapons) soon realized that gun collectors were there and paying top dollar for collectible firearms. So, as the line for the chump cards got longer and longer people began to jump ship and head over to the dealers. John Diaz, Seattles Police Chief, wasn’t pleased with the turn of events stating “I’d prefer they wouldn’t sell them,” but admitted it’s perfectly legal for private individuals to buy and sell guns, FOR NOW. Mayor Mike McGinn said at a news conference the private transactions are a loophole that needs to be closed. “There’s no background checks, and some (guns) could be exchanged on the streets that shouldn’t be in circulation.” But Schuyler Taylor, a previous gun retailer attending the event in hopes of buying weapons, asked “Why not offer them cash versus a gift card? I’m still taking the guns off the streets; they’re just going in my safe.” People were reportedly, at one point, jumping out of vehicles whilst sitting in traffic – making on the spot deals with the gun buyers. But the BuyBack wasn’t a bust. On the contrary – their $80,000 supply of gift cards didn’t last but 2 hours, and by 11:00 am they began attempting to issue IOU’s at which point the entire crowd responded by turning and marching toward the gun dealers, forcing the police officers to pack it up for the day. On one last note of hilarity, the Seattle Police department claims that they will check the buyback guns to see if any were previously stolen and, if so, try to return them to the rightful owners! LOL. Brilliant! In 1992, Seattle police collected more than 1,200 guns in a four-day buyback program. Now the only question is, when will the Seattle Police department stage the next gun show? |
Some of it is people stocking up, a lot of it is new shooters trying to get ammo for their new ar-15, and most of it is people buying to resell for big profits. I'm just glad I saw this coming when he was reelected and stocked up well before sandy hook.

I can't find hardly any 22lr, 308win, and 9mm. Hell even the expensive rounds are hard to come by around here.... |
Ed Who's doing your trust?
Doing it online? Link? |

Sometimes it pays to invest in tin foil fuckers :ps: |
It's like that here too. I haven't seen anything other than shotgun, .22 mag, and a couple of hunting calibers in weeks. I usually shoot 2,000 rounds a month. Mostly .22 and some 9mm. Until I can replace what I'm shooting at similar prices to what I paid to begin with, that's not going to happen. I'm hoping the people stockpiling slow down once the credit card bills start coming in.

Here is what I need to get started on the trust: 1) The name of the Trust (I would recommend something with your last name, like Smith Trust, Smith Gun Trust, Smith NFA Trust, Smith Family Firearms Trust or something similar, maybe your initials. Keep in mind if you make an SBR in the future you will have to engrave the name of your trust into the gun) 2) The Grantor (the person creating the trust, who controls the trust, this would be you) 3) The "primary" Trustee (the person who has the power to buy and sell assets, probably just you) 4) The "secondary" Trustees (the people who can possess the guns, but not buy and sell, I recommend naming at least everyone in your household) 5) The Beneficiary (the person who would get the items in the trust when the Grantor dies) 6) The Alternative Beneficiary, if you choose to have one (the person who would get the items if the beneficiary is dead) 7) Your contact information (address, telephone, email). This is for my records, it does not go in the trust. 8) Please let me know how you wish to pay. You can pay by sending paypal to this email address (must send $310 if paying by online) or by mailing a $300 check or money order to: The Bass Firm, PLLC PO Box 2128 Coppell, Texas 75019 |

Finally - a 'somewhat' reasonable gun control story is being run by a major news outlet.
http://www.cnn.com/2013/01/29/us/han...html?hpt=hp_c1 It's good to see that at least one person in that giant machine recognizes that rifles aren't the problem. (Neither are sidearms, but they do give mental health a good mention) |
that sucks Troy, i'm sure its not hard to find a "local" guy

Smith & Wesson-is running at Full capacity making 300+ guns/day-mainly M&P pistols. They are unable to produce any more guns to help with the shortages. RUGER: Plans to increase from 75% to 100% in the next 90 days. FNH: Moving from 50% production to 75% by Feb 1st and 100% by March 1. Remington-Maxed out! Armalite: Maxed out. DPMS: Can't get enough parts to produce any more product. COLT: Production runs increasing weekly...bottle necked by Bolt carrier's. LWRC:Making only black guns, running at full capacity...can't get enough gun quality steel to make barrels. Springfield Armory: Only company who can meet demand but are running 30-45 days behind. AMMO: Every caliber is now Allocated! We are looking at a nation-wide shortage of all calibers over the next 9 months. All plants are producing as much ammo as possible w/ of 1 BILLION rnds produced weekly. Most is military followed by L.E. and civilians are third in line. MAGPUL is behind 1 MILLION mags; do not expect any large quantities of magpul anytime soon. RELOADERS!!!! ALL Remington, Winchester, CCI & Federal primers are going to ammo FIRST. There are no extra's for reloading purposes....it could be 6-9 months b/f things get caught up. Sorry for the bleak news, but now we know what to expect in the coming months.

Fucking idiots need to stop buying like they will never make ammo again.

And as for the comparo, I clean my guns complete whether I've shot 1000 or 10 rounds thru them. Just anal like that :nee: |

I have about 1500 of wolf black box 223 it is a little under powered I have lots of it in the past with no signs of corrsion. Worst I can say about it is that it is under powered and a bit dirty. I routinely run it with a can because it doesn't over gas

The ATF, the Bureau of Alchohol, Tobacco, and Firearms, says that an airsoft gun can be converted into a "military-grade" weapon? :wtf: A toy that shoots plastic bb's can somehow be converted into a weapon that shoots NATO ball rounds from shelled ammunition? What? I suppose if you replaced the airsoft gun's barrel, chamber, bolt, trigger assembly, magazine well, buffer spring, and magazines... I mean, yeah, I guess I can see it now. So any banana I buy from a grocery store can also be converted into a "military-grade" weapon. All I have to do, is completely replace it with a pre-assembled "military-grade" weapon. Voila! Banana rifle! |

Appearantly Piers Morgan is coming to town to talk w/a 'tactical' shop. Thing is the shop is rather self serving making radio comments, like we should stop I- net sales of ammo and a few other choice comments. D went shooting there the other day, they jut opened up a really nice indoor shooting range Tactical firearms in katy |
Piers Morgan Coming to Gun Shop in Houston, Tx Monday-Feb 4th
monderno.com ^ | February 2, 2013 | By: Brandon Posted on 2/2/2013 11:01:46 AM by txgirl4Bush Yesterday I heard a rumor that Piers Morgan was coming to a Houston area gun shop on Monday, February 4 to host his show. After some research googling, it now looks like it’s true. Tactical Firearms According to Piers Morgan’s Twitter account, he will be hosting his show from a Texas “gun store”, and will also be shooting (that should be funny by the way). I have yet to confirm, but rumor has it that the gun store he is referring to is none other than Tactical Firearms in Katy, TX (which is part of the Houston metro area). You might remember that Tactical Firearms recently made headlines in the 2A community when owner Jeremy Alcede went on a radio show and supported an online ammunition ban, and then quickly reversed his position after the public outcry. If this is true, here’s why it’s important. First off, Piers is coming to my hometown. Personally, I want to see if he does in fact travel with an armed entourage. I think there’s a very good chance that he does, which makes him a dirty hypocrite. I’d love to get photos of such. Second, out of all the gun shops and ranges in the United States, Piers (potentially) has chosen Tactical Firearms, who has in the past sold out on gun control issues. I’m not saying Tactical Firearms will or will not again, but I don’t think anyone can blame me for being nervous about it. And, again if true, it’s highly coincidental that Piers chose this specific gun shop. If any of you have intel confirming that Piers will indeed be coming to Tactical Firearms in Katy, TX, please leave me a comment below and I’ll update this post. As of now, it should be treated as a rumor. |
