if not... if your just being a friend... there's nothing wrong with it... just be aware of the rebound effect

It's a shitty thing to do if you consider the guy a friend. IMO you should just stay friends with both of them. It's a really shitty thing to do actually, unless you absolutely don't give two watery shits about the guy she's with now.

I mostly stopped liking him because i am better friends with her and he is a complete dick to her.

Mr Lefty 04-02-2008 09:55 PM

well it's a dick thing to do to him... no two ways about it... it's if you care or not that's the question.

Dude, seriously, you don't want to get yourself in all that shit. Too much baggage, run while you can before you get too attached.

I find it REALLY hard to stay in the speed limit on the new bike. it always feels like im lugging the bike when im riding around town... any advice?

one thing i miss about the 250 was that you could really wind it up and feel like a badass but you're still only going 50 mph

Trip 04-02-2008 10:15 PM

Welcome to a decent mid size bike.

The 650 is fine at low rpms though. Winding it up is a waste of it's power.

Mr Lefty 04-02-2008 10:19 PM

 yeah new bikes have that effect... get exhaust put on and it'll make you SOUND like your going faster too  you'll shift early (at least I did) till your used to it

But that's not the point. Are you friends with him at all? Because he WILL hate you for it. Trust me, what you're thinking about doing was done to me by someone who I now hate.

It'll be a TON of baggage. Especially if you two run in the same circle of friends, they'll all think you're a dick for doing it to him, and they'll think you're a vulture picking up leftovers. I have seen it, although a lot of your friends will still smile at you and hang out with you, they'll all pretty much think what you're doing is a dick move.

Around town I generally cruised around in 2nd or 3rd gear.
Ya gotta remember that at 4K, your 250 would barely move, while the SV is close to it's powerband.
