Shoei doesn't have removable liners, just the cheek pads come out.

Nice helmet. It'll definately break in a lil bit. The smoked screen looks good. And I don't wash the liners when I get a new helmet. It's new.

I didnt feel it was neccessary. i had just woken up and was about to jump in the shower, why go through the trouble.

the cheep pads are a bit scratchy taking it on and off. i know they'll break in, i was just wondering if washing them will hasten the process.

i dont usually wash mine when new, i like the new helmet feel and smell, give it a few days and you wont even notice it...

I don't wash the lid, but used some sort of spray crap on it. Helmet Fresh or something like that. Instructions said to use it on a new helmet, then you could simply spray it in when needed. Be sure to let the helmet dry out before putting it in the case, if you bought a case with it.
