OK so here is the deal. If I have a 600 by september, then I am going. Parents are cool with it. One of my friends has a 06 GS500f and he is planning on going. He is hoping to get a 600 also, but if he doesn't, do you think that bike would be able to handle a long highway ride?

I found the answer. First time I looked it up it said tickets would be mailed in March. Now it has moved to July.

He started riding late last season. It is a seven hour ride from here. He is used to driving really long trips, but not riding them. Hell he drove up there friday to see his girlfriend and is driving back tomorrow. Still not at all the same though.

yeah it's not the same... I've done 5 days of 13+hr and 800miles+ driving with no ill effects other than $ being sucked out of my bank account for gas and food.

if you can't for some reason... ever time you stop for gas... take a good 15 mins after you fill up... to stretch and walk around...

Yeah I was going to try to get at least a couple of 2 and 300 mile trips this summer to make sure he and I also are up to it. I don't foresee having a huge problem by that point.

I just ordered 2 race day tickets. Might order the 3 day general admission tickets as well, but not sure yet. Right now, I'm not even sure I can go, but I'm not taking the chance of finding out later that I can and having tickets sold out. Worst case scenario, I'll sell the tickets on eBay or to one of you guys that waited till the last minute then couldn't get tix.

I'm looking forward to the race. Should be a blast. Just wish my friends hadn't quit their jobs at the track a couple months ago. i would have had free tix!!

The wife and I are going (annually, I guarantee) and I can't, for the life of me, remember where the heck I'm sitting (east stand/sw vista?). I KNOW I'll be there each and every day. I'll be sleeping at home each night so the wife's going to have to be my designated driver. Wonder when I should tell her that.....

We from WOS that are going are just getting G/A tickets, we like to wander. Don't plan on using the seats too much.

the hotel isn't the one I booked... fucking expedia switched the hotels on me... but I can't cancel it with out a 10% fee ... so $60. so as you can see... we're on the EAST side of Indy now... instead of the South Western side. there is no Pool... but we still have 4 non smoking rooms with 2 double beds each.

I camped at Indy last year. Slept very well in the tent, could be that I'm used to sleeping in a tent though with all the military stuff.
