Yeah I've NEVER seen an Icon lid worn in a professional race.

Exactly. Paying someone to wear your gear doesn't make it good. It's just not the focus of that company. They're all about the street. :idk:

it does to an extent, I dont know of many racers who will wear crap gear on the track just for a few bucks, whereas guys on the street, thats a whole other story.

Some others may be able to add to this but a few years back the LRRS banned a certain type of hjc helmet due to safety reasons.

Every racer I know will wear anything they're paid to wear. Whether that means taking a good helmet and putting another brand's stickers on it...well that's a different question. You don't go poor racing for nothing!

I just find it funny that ICON doesn't support nor does anyone support ICON at the racetrack.

Also I was always under the impression HJC sucked because they weren't $700 Arai/Shoei's, but then I learned as of last year a 3-time AMA champ Ben Spies rocked them for his rookie WSBK season. Lesson learned, and I would LOVE to have one of their offroad full carbon helmets. I think only 1 of 2 manf to make a full offroad carbon headcase.

A few racers wear the hjc and lesser brands. Did you ever try on the CF helmet. Its super light obviously but i hated the fit for my head.

I'm on my second one, first was an exo400,, now I have an exo700, love them both, more comfy and better than an icon, and it doesnt fog up.
