Pilsner Urquel uses Checz Saaz hops, which are around 3.8% Alpha.

One of the least bitter hops in the world.

It's still shitty beer. But coming from someone who drinks Hefe's, he probably thinks bud light is bitter. :lol

Um, ok.

Like you knew that without googling it?

Whatever KIND of hops it has, it's still one of the most bitter beers I've ever tasted.

Sierra Nevada Pale Ale, I'm sure you've had it? It's one of the better mass produced beers out.

If we're going to google, here are some Pilsner Urquell reviewers:

http://beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/1/429

"a good bitterness that stays a while."

"This is one bitter beer, but pretty refreshing."

"Taste - well...the beer is SO hoppy it's a bit out of balance. If the hops were cut down just a bit this beer would be perfect."

"The strong "euro skunk" flavor (as I like to call it) is the first thing I taste and it comes in strong."

"Crisp and smooth with a strong hop bitterness. Malts are and sweeten the brew somewhat. The finish is dry and leaves the mouth kinda numb and bitter"
