Yeah I know she's an adult and if she wants to ride alone she's going to.........been there done that LOL

hold up. Girl has scooter experience, im sure she has a basic idea of how traffic works. clutch shouldnt be of great concern either considering her car assuming she remembers its her hand that operates it

Thanks everyone! I'm not letting her ride by herself for a while until I'm sure that she won't make any goofy control mistakes. I want to be sure that she is fully in control of the bike. I plan on a couple more parking lot sessions and we'll probably go out in the country today and put around a bit. I'm not one to try and control another adult (as you all know) but she has left it in my hands to make sure she is ready, so I'm taking the responsibility very seriously. I want her to be confident enough to go out and have fun but fearful enough to stay on her toes and not get complacent. Well, we're going out, I'll make sure to take pics. Thanks again!:rockwoot:

Congrats to her. Whole new world has opened up for her.

Hooray! Another woman rider joins the ranks! :rockwoot:

After I took the MSF course, and graduated from the parking lot, Robert and I would head out early on Sunday mornings and ride out into the country, getting back just before Noon. Roads would be EMPTY. Cooler, too.

When he yanks on the leash, it should keep her in line.:rockwoot:

Well, we just got back from her first ride and she did extremely well!!! Of course as Dave said, she has scooter experience and dirt bike and atv experience.

Trust me, not a good idea!:panic: If you think that I start fights...whew!

I'm trying to be an invisible training wheel, so to speak. I'm there if there are questions but I don't want to get in the way of growth. I tell her if I think that she is doing something "wrong" and I encourage her to make decisions and to take her time on the road. I had her lead all day and set the pace. Again she did rather well!:rockwoot:

actually you have a lot of control over the situation if you watch for her reactions and what cars are coming up and are going to do. yes you can easily predict what most cars are going to do.

It's not about controlling her it's about being a buffer and being there to reassure if she needs advice.

but it was just a suggestion for him..........just a thought
