and what problems are those??

as i recall, the whole time you were around, I was able to ride... you on the other hand :idk:

ehh my problems had nothing to do with quality of my bike...

the 1125 has issues with fuel boiling, the stock fuel maping... just to name a couple.

when was the last time the big 4 had to have a recall on a new bike? Excluding Yami's bs about the 17000 readline (that didn't effect how the bike ran)

I'm not saying Buel isn't a good bike... just saying they're not as refined as any of the Big Jap 4.

when was the last time that the big 4 came out with an all COMPLETELY new model?

I'm not complaining considering.
I have had few to no issues, and this newest reflash is supposed to take care of the complaints that some people are having.

uh... every 4 years? if not sooner... the motor from the 09 1000RR is completely diffrent from the 05 1000RR... shit I'd say other than the tire size, nothing else would transfer

different from the 05 yes, but how about from the 08?
and either way at least there WAS an 08 to build the 09 off of... there was no 2007 Buell 1125R.
Guess I'm just trying to say that they had a base to go off of. a starting point if you will, something to work off of and improve.
this is an all new engine, new frame, swingarm etc... all new.
That's tough to get right without any hook ups.
Yeah, maybe they should have waited a bit to release it, but I understand them wanting to get it out for the 25th anny. and they are being good and taking care of all the probs people are having anyway.

2 year warranty FTW.

Mr Lefty 10-09-2008 12:38 AM

blah... the 1125R frame is based off every other buel frame... it's just made for the new motor. the motor is brand new... but it's still no diffrent than Honda, Yami, Suzi or Kawi creating a new motor every couple years... just because they were in last years bike and share the cc's doesn't mean they share anything else.

had they named the 1125r the 08 firebolt... it would be no diffrent than the jap 4's complete redesigns IMO.

the jap 4 just have more $ for R&D and know what works... they need to get it right the first time... and usually... do.

still don't agree.
firebolt frame holds like 3 gal. 1125 > 5.3 gal
firebolt swingarm is the oil res. 1125 has a standard oil res.
firebolt air cooled HD based motor. 1125 liquid Rotax motor

a jap "complete redesign" is like the 1125R to the 1125CR
lets see how the CR does and go from there.

Mr Lefty 10-09-2008 12:49 AM

no... they redesign the frames too... look at my bike and the frame for the 03 ZX6R...

so it got a new swing arm... happens alot...

take the R6... match up the parts from an 05 R6 to the 06 R6...

the 1125R to the 1125cr is like the SV1000 and the SV1000R just stripped off fairings.

the redesigns in the big 4 are a more complete than you think. they change calipers, forks, roaters, wheels, frames, swing arms, motors, tranny's... ect... while still keeping reliablity.

plain and simple... I think the buell is a good bike... but they don't have the reliablity or fit and finish that a jap 4 bike does.

Anyone who pays MSRP or above OTD for a bike is a sucker.

13K is THREE GRAND over the price of the bike... they can't even do that WITH lube.

I walked out the door paying 1100 bucks under the MSRP.

way different market, and one of the 1st 09's at his dealer i believe. basing my info off what i remember dlit mentioning, not gonna actually do research for somethin that dont matter lol
