For American-Chinese, I like General Tso's and szechuan beef.
My favorite stuff, though, comes from a local place run by a family from Hong Kong. They serve more authentic fare (whole steamed fish, clay pot dishes, excellent dim sum) |
Gen Tso's Chicken or Orange Chicken
Crab Rangoon |
I'm a Jew...its programmed in my DNA to love all Chinese food. And now I really want some and since its Passover, I can't:(

Read Christopher's Moore's Lamb, it has a funny explanation of the stereotype of Jews eating Chinese food at Christmas.
I like the chicken and broccoli. I really dig the wontons when they're in egg drop soup. |
General tso over shrimp fried Rice with one of thoes yellow mustard packs and soy. I really like it spiced up. Oh and Did I mention its what I had less than an hour ago for lunch. MMMMMM!!!

you guys make me laugh!
I've never had General Tso's chicken. Adeptus, Austin is on my list of places to visit, when i come down you must bring me to that restaurant. If you ever come to Vegas, i found this great restuarant in one of our local casinos that also serves dim sum and food in clay pots and such. Its the only "authentic" place i found so far. The chinatown here is so lame, it makes me sad. :( |
Cantonese chow mein, for the "American Chinese." For 'real' Chinese dim sum. I've found that when it comes to real national cuisine, it's best not to ask what's in it

I had some goose wrapped in bacon and deer wrapped in bacon for lunch today. Fucking delicious.
