I can send you out an 'Apoc Fan Club' membership if you like though!! Always room for one more.

Im 6'4' about 290 right now bro, maybe a little less.

Well, see, I would not "need stilts" to reach your eyes. Statistically, you should win but my old ass would still give you a decent fight I'll bet! I don't know , I wouldn't want to risk it for no reason, but it could be fun! If I were you, I'd be in extreme defense mode, if you got into a fight with me. If I had to defend myself from someone your size...well there would be absolutely no attack that I wouldn't use...hey what happened to the "ball kick" smilie?

He used to "collect" money for some of our friends when we lived together in Moncton when we were in our late teens/early twenties.

That's not to say you aren't the toughest sob in the world. But, I've seen him tear people up plenty of times. And I've never seen him do it because he's mad or angry, only because somebody had it coming..

Yea but I never said that I could take any two gangbangers in the world and kick their asses. Yikes! I've known some pretty fucking tough brothers in my life. Guys that I would never fuck with...EVER!!!! I'm just amazed that's all. I mean, I hear that he's quite a "studly man" but this type of blind adoration...well, bravo to him is all I can say!!!!:rockwoot:

I joked because you said, "I've grown out of fighting to prove a point.." When we were in fact originally arguing about somebody who obviously didn't. If you didn't see the correlation, then you've obviously forgotten what the thread was about..

Last time I saw Apoc, he was well over 300lbs. He's just huge. Personality and physicality. He is an impressive human. I'd turn to watch him go by, Tigger, you, not so much.

And his voice commands attention as well.

I still have this vivid memory of him carrying my friend Deborah across a street. Picked her up like feather and hoisted her in the air. People move out of his way.

He's the only person I know that made an RC51 look like a 50.

He's like Everest. Big, scary, and hard to climb without dying or being seriously injured.

Hey that's something that I'm very happy about. My father was a 30 year veteran and a survivor of WWII, Korea and Vietnam. He was by far the meanest and most violent person I've ever known. I never want to be a person that instills fear in other people.

BTW I can see why he's so tough with a name like "Clary" Yeesh, was "Mortimer" already taken by his brother or something? Pictures can't measure anything really but I will say this, I don't want to fuck with anyone that is 6'4'' and 290 lbs unless I absolutely have no other choice and then the name of the game is strike first, go for blood and get the fuck out of there!!! There aren't any trophies or prize money awarded after a street fight so there's no reason to hang around. If I never have to strike or receive another blow for the rest of my life, that would be fine by me! Clary is welcome to the "Toughest Guy on TWFix" award.

What does that matter? If I'm not mistaken, the black gentleman apologized for striking the old man first.

All the stupid details and bravado he throws onto his story does not change the events that occurred. The black gentleman admitted to starting the physical part of the confrontation.

Thought it seems like they both seem to have selective memory of the events in question...

Rider 02-24-2010 04:34 PM

And another thing, they keep mentioning how big Tom is.... He isn't that big at all. I'm alot bigger than that guy and I don't consider myself big at all.

Who cares,
Every interview the guy who admits to consuming illegal drugs, has a criminal history and is apparantly nuts changes his story every interview.

However...you are right.
The guy who had few too many drinks and took things too far on the bus is obviously worth pointing fingers at because he chooses to be presentable when he's sober and on the radio.

He is in Cali.

How do you know his pot isn't legal?

Racist.

Amber Lamps 02-24-2010 05:13 PM

Like so many, the black guy gets somewhat stupid when he drinks, Tom is crazy all the time. I thought that it was a decent gesture on the black guy's part to admit fault and to apologize. Tom gets credit no matter what he says or does, I really don't understand it. There are some incredibly racist comments all over the internet calling the black guy a thug, monkey, Coolio, etc. Tom clearly asked that guy how much he'd charge him to shine his shoes, an insult to be sure. The black guy over reacted certainly but what would you expect? Do you think that it's prudent to ask random black people to shine your shoes? Of course not.

Heck, I just like that my "fairytale" story turned out to be somewhat true! AFAIK the black guy has no criminal record, was minding his own business, has no gang affiliations, didn't use a weapon, didn't steal the white guy's stuff, did throw the first blow, isn't a drug addict, was drunk and a bit stupid. Oh and apparently can articulate himself reasonable well when not drunk with a swollen face.

Papa_Complex 02-24-2010 05:32 PM

Um we do...they showed actual clips of the white guy asking the black guy "how much to shine my shoes" and the black guy got mad and etc... I'm not saying that it justifies the black guys actions but it better explains why he was so angry. He was drunk and the white guy insulted him.... Is it right, no of course not but is it understandable, sure. I've gotten into fights for much less in my younger days. I've seen guns drawn over two quarters left on a pool table... I really don't know where some of you live that violence is such a foreign concept but it has been a large part of my life. As Tommy so rightly pointed out, on another day, on another bus that altercation would have resulted in gun shots or stabbings at the very least. I don't know, maybe some of you live in places where if there is a disagreement, the two parties, walk outside and square off using Marquis of Queensbury rules, fight it out, shake hands afterward and return to the bar... I've never seen it...:idk:

Papa_Complex 02-24-2010 06:20 PM

Part of the prefight "shine my shoes" conversation concerned what the black dude had said when he walked past the white dude earlier. That back and forth was not recorded, or at least it hasn't been shown.

That's what I was getting at, in my passive/aggressive way. There had been comments made that the "shine my shoes" statement was made in response to something else, which doesn't appear in the recordings that have been shown.

Hmmm...so of course we should assume that it's was started by the black guy even though Tom has been less than consistent in his telling of the story. I do have a feeling that Tom and his buddy were talking and the black guy walked by and heard a comment about getting a shine and in his drunken stupor thought that they were referring to him... I agree that it is possible that he misheard them and made some snotty comment back starting the argument. In my experience, there are none more ignorant than a drunken fool.

I guess that I just was somewhat disappointed that almost everyone here immediately jumped to the conclusion that the black man was at fault, was a young thug, and thus "got what he deserved"... :idk:

Well technically speaking the Black man WAS at fault, because he committed the first assault. I'd like to know where it all started.

To again agree with Papa, the black guy assaulted the white guy first. The white guy certainly contributed to it by continuing to goad the black guy, but that is irrelevant from a legal standpoint and the black guy was at fault. I think that particular issue is settled and it has nothing to do with race.

What happened before the recording began is another issue. I don't know what happened. Unless you were there or have seen another recording of which I am unaware you don't know what happened either. I would be curious to see how the whole incident began. You seem to think I have made assumptions about how it began. I have not.

Papa_Complex 02-24-2010 10:12 PM

I think that his main assumption about how it all began, is that it began at the precise moment that the girls started recording and that shoe shining comment was made. This is obviously an erroneous one.

That is probably it... I am making the assumption the a shoe shining comment was the start of this situation. Whether it was made towards the black Guy or not is the only real question. I also include the entire disturbance in my assessment of "blame " and not necessarily when the first contact was made. Unlike you all I admit that I can and have been pushed into violence in the past.

As have I, though what pushed me to violence was when violence was done to me, not just WORDS.

If the shoe shining comment was the start of the situation, then the odds greatly favour it never having been recorded. Something made those girls start filming. That wasn't it.

Again, I bow to your greater intelligence and situation assessment skills. I am now sure that the black man most likely started the whole thing and that the black girl started recording the argument because he was getting loud and irate and she thought it would be funny to capture a drunken man make a fool out of himself. I also concede that you are by far a better person than I am because I have allowed words to goad me into violence routinely during the course of my life. I was born into violence, not a good excuse I know but the truth none the less, lived by it's principles, and only in recent years broke away from it's influence. I commend you on never allowing yourself to be provoked verbally, it is something that I and many others, I'm sure, wish that they could honestly proclaim. Having a bad temper is something that I have struggled with my entire life and is one of the reasons that I gave up drinking in my 20s. I knew that if I continued down the violent path I was on, that I would end up in prison along side a large portion of my family. I wish to thank you for helping me see the errors in my assessment of this situation. Hopefully, I can take the lessons learned here and apply them in becoming a better human being.

Where did I say that the black guy started the situation? Please, point it out to me.

z06boy 02-25-2010 09:24 AM

None of us know what was said prior to the shoe shine banter but we do know who walked up to the front of the bus and escalated the situation to a physical confrontation and it was the black guy...period. No matter what was said...he made the first physical contact and took an azz whipping for it. I'm still glad he did. :idk:

I think the older white guy is crazy and wouldn't want to be around him ever...he evidently is a trouble maker/instigator and off his rocker...bad combo.

The black guy seems ok except for when you add alcohol...that probably goes for several members here too. Alcohol caused him to get an azz kicking on video by an old white guy...tough chit...it happens.

Bottom line though...the black guy should not have walked up to the front of the bus and touched the crazy older white guy...he got what he deserved in this situation no matter what was said first before the video started rolling.

I'm sorry I didn't mean to imply that you had stated that the black Guy was at fault, I was simply stating that I now blame him for the altercation. He certainly did get what he deserved and I hope for his sake that he has learned his lesson. I honestly do admire the fact that you have been able to avoid verbally provoked violence for your entire life. I'm not sure but I doubt many others can make such a claim, again I certainly can not. Again please accept my apology if I inadvertently misconstrued your comments, sir. That was not my intention. Thank you for your forbearance in this matter.

You ate exactly right, I was assuming the black was reacting to insults from the white man. I absolutely have no proof of this and was attempting to defend him without merit. I see now that I was wrong and was actually being even more racist by defending him. I would like to again apologize for my statements and hope that you all can forgive me for my ignorance in this any many other matters of this nature. If it is any consolation, I am now pledging to forgo my self appointed role as "the defender of African Americans" on this board.
Quite frankly they don't deserve my defense of them for the most part.

I fucking hate new Tigger.

Hey Tigger, fuck you blacky. I'm only 6' but I would still kick your ass. But not so much that you couldn't shine my shoes afterwards. Speaking of that, I'm saving a special pair of shoes for you to polish, they're black and orange leather.

Damn, that's not even a worthy insult. Hard to kick a man when he's down I guess.

Actually shining shoes was an excellent way for young black men to make money in the past. In fact several successful black businessmen owe their start to shoe shine stands. Shining shoes is just as noble of an occupation as any other IMHO and is nothing to be ashamed of.

 What a trip...if you really posted this.

Let me get one thing straight...people have verbally pizzed me off and I have thrown the first punch in an altercation before HOWEVER when I did...it was MY fault that the situation turned physical and IF I had gotten my azz handed to me...there would be no one to blame but me. :idk:

I've also stated that I wouldn't want to be around the old white dude period...he comes off as an instigator and has a screw loose and I also said the black guy is probably an ok person to be around when he's not drinking so I sure am not taking sides due to race.

I did say in an earlier post that I was glad to see that when the white guy started winning that other blacks didn't join in and help the black guy just because he's black and I still feel that way. I've seen it happen too many times in my life and I hate that chit. :idk:

I don't agree with that Z06. There are situations where it should be perfectly acceptable to throw the first punch without being at fault.

Verbal threats are one. "Hey buddy, I'm gonna kick 'yer ass" *BAM!* Just depends on the situation.

Someone grabs your wife's ass. *KERPLOW!*

A dude pushes your kid down on purpose *BANG!*

And so on. We've got to stop viewing violence with a no-tolerance outlook.

Well we aren't really in disagreement...except maybe in your first example. If you threw the first punch then yes you made it physical and I've been guilty of that myself. Yes it does depend on the exact situation though.

In your other examples...they touched your wife and they pushed your kid...that made it physical...not you for cold cocking them. :idk:

The first one is in response to a verbal threat depending on the situation. You can look at someone and know if they're serious most of the time. If someone TELLS you that they're about to try to physically harm you and you know they mean it, then you'd be an idiot to wait. A simple threat assessment will dictate your response.

"Fightins commenced Ike, get to fightin' or get out"

Punches are harder to dodge than you might think, always better to get the first one in if the situation warrants it.

Oh for sure I too have witnessed their propensity to gang up on individuals and have actually been the victim of black gang violence in the past. It is a disgusting trait which I have zero tolerance for. In my defense I can say that I have never gathered my homies together to attack a single person but have always handled my battles on an individual basis.

I agreed that it depended on the situation...right ?

I also said I've thrown the first punch...more than once but I also said that it was ME that actually made it physical.

If I think for a second that you're about to come at me...I guarantee I'm not gonna just stand there...been there and done that and most likely will again. :idk:

Again...it DOES depend on the situation.

Oh yeah...punches are not harder to dodge than I might think...I've been hit more than once.

In some situations you are and some you're not. The black guy on the bus was at fault for escalating it to a physical level imho and this is where it all started.

Talking in person is better than beating on this keyboard...things don't always come across the way one means them.

I don't really think we're on opposite sides with this...again it just depends on the situation.

Right on, totally agree. I have to admit, I forgot we were even still talking about Beard Man,

Or as New Tigger would say, "Thank you sir, your post has enlightened my way of thinking and made me a better person. If it weren't for your continued efforts to educate me I would be lost in a vastness of ineptitude and ignorance. I owe so much to you and the people of this forum who work so hard to provide a medium where we can all truly grow together.

Its not like this is uncommon of soldiers in past wars.
