I have to admit, I've been a little curious about how those 5.7's shoot and I've seen lots of spent rounds at the range, but I've never been fortunate enough to be there when someone has one.

Honestly it handle about like 22mag

If ammo wasn't high, I'd get an AR 5.7 upper.

I finally got my New Frontier lowers set up for the uppers that were going to go on them. The one that the 5.45 was going to go on needed a heavier hammer spring installed (supplied with the upper so its probably a common issue) because the stock one was too light to set off the primers. The lower that my Chiappa .22 upper was going on needed a rimfire/9mm specific hammer installed as the stock one is too wide.

After replacing the spring, the 5.45 failed to fire the first round with another light primer strike but ran after that. The Chiappa was flawless with the new hammer installed. I have two other NF lowers set aside, so when I get the chance, I'll unpin my KAC and put the upper on one of them to see how they run with an upper they were designed for installed.

The trigger is very good. There's no take-up and it breaks very cleanly with little travel.

I was missing my with Fisher-Price lower and the trigger is nice. I wonder if they'll make a two stage poly assembly for them?

It's not a Magpul, but I got a deal I couldn't refuse on it from a soldier in Killeen. I replaced the stock with a Magpul CTR, the sights with aluminum Troy folders and bolted on an EOTech XPS 2.0. Her sling is a VTAC sliding two point. It still needs to go to ADCO to get the barrel re-profiled.

Is that an Aimpoint T1 on your FN?

No it is a H1 (no Night vision but the same chassis) Having the impulse control of a gnat , there were no T1s available from any of my suppliers that day, so I grabbed the H1. I am normally a Eotech guy but they sit to high on the PS90 Standard that went with the Micro Dot and so far I am pretty impressed.

They are good. I discovered a couple of weeks ago I forgot to turn off a T1 back in December and it was still going strong. The battery in it has been in use since 2010.

This is the first EOTech I've bought. It seems to be a hair faster than the Aimpoint to target.

The circle dot of the eotech is fast than the dot in the aimpoint for me but the height of the eotech doest work for me on the standard PS90 rail.
