What I had done:
  • Stiffer springs (Racetech)
  • Upgraded valving (Racetech, emulates a cartridge fork)
  • New seals for my leaky forks
  • And of course the install of the Ohlins rear shock

Man what a difference! :rockwoot: The front end no longer dives during braking, or even just closing the throttle and the bike feels a lot more stable through turns. I couldn't be happier! :beers:

marko138 04-26-2008 04:54 PM

I believe the suspension on your bike is now worth more than the actual bike. Nice!!!!!!!!!!! Bet it feels great.

Mrs. Colleen 04-26-2008 04:59 PM

Forgot to mention...this was my first good ride (not just back and forth to work) after getting my new seat. Feels very nice on the booty! :beers:

Looking great Colleen. Oh yeah, and the bike looks great too.

:td: I just want clear or smoke/tint...not a fan of the color matched ones.

What I really want to do is smash the blue screen into tiny little pieces...but I guess I should wait until I get a new one. :idk:

NONE_too_SOFT 04-27-2008 10:05 AM

colored windscreens ftl.

drk smoke is the only way to go w/ a windscreen.

do it at speed by hitting some sort of wildlife, and videotape it.

Quick281 04-27-2008 11:41 AM

yeah i don't like the color match either..

i might wait until the new one is installed before destroying the old.. but i also save my old parts in case something happens so i have a back up..

helped last night when my headlight burnt out had an extra..

wish i had an extra windscreen because broke the one on there now..

OneSickPsycho 04-27-2008 02:41 PM

Paint the backside black...

Always a good plan.

Mrs. Colleen 04-27-2008 05:36 PM

I am not really going to destroy the windscreen. It just drives me crazy because it is so ugly. :td:

Mr Lefty 04-27-2008 05:39 PM

Paint it black... quick, easy, and it'll dress your bike up nice.

I'm not a huge fan of colored wind shields... but if your not going to tuck and actually look through it... they can add a bit to the bike.

That is sort of on my to-do list. If I am going to paint it I want to be at a point that if it looks worse I will pay the $$ to get a new one...but I don't want to spend the money yet so I have been putting it off.
