Welcome to the new server
 

Well, the change went smooth. Looks like everything is working so far. I got a lot of stuff back on this new server with a couple new hidden vb 3.7 cookies for you guys to find like social groups. Let me know if ya'll find any bugs I need to work out. Also if you notice the errors for IE are completely gone and the new style works flawlessly with just a single nav bar at the top.

DNS has finished mapping, twowheelfix.com and twfix.com are now apart of the new server.

Imageshack and Photobucket should work again.

Where's the new post link and everything else on that little bar?

They should all be those images at the top of the page underneath the header image. Home, qlinks (my active posts is in here), new posts, members, usercp, blog contest, search, log out, and myspace are all up there.

yeah the profile thing is crazy, I like it. I think friends are like the buddy list. I have no idea. This is the first time I really messed with vb 3.7. They have an album thing I haven't enabled yet. I am not sure when I am going to get to that. I want to do some testing before I put it out to you guys.

dude that's pretty pimp... you click on the conversations and it links them... weird... wonder if it'd work if someone else made a comment in the middle of our conversation... or it just links all comments between the two users... :idk:

naw the pages are loading much quicker... MUCH! not that it was slow in the first place... but CEO's shop thread did take a bit... seems to work a bit faster

Yeah, I was a bit nervous before I got into it. I had never done a mysql backup and restoration on the entire database and it was a lot easier than expected. I completely rebuilt the site with vb3.7. Fun learning experience. There is nothing to this prog, it's easy to play with.

Can't hit it from the office anymore...

Fuckers have DNS problems out the ass here.... I dunno, maybe in a week it'll iron itself out.... but hey, i'll be on my way home then!

How the hell did it get blocked already? We are on our own IP now. No one is sharing with us.

edit: the DNS problems may be on our end. It takes awhile for the net to adjust to the new site server.

DNS here points to 98.130.136.164

It doesn't do that at work and unfortunately I can't tell my box to hit up a different DNS server.....


Sides, it would just be categorized as Forums/Messageboards... Which I bitched and bitched and finally got unlocked. When we gotta research stuff when shit breaks, we hit a lot of messageboards to discuss or find resolutions that other folks have already found.... So, forums/messageboards opened up and I'm back to posting lol.

yeah, the 3.7 version of this template doesn't have the code for the other bar. So I just did everything with the top bar instead of trying to dig into the code and remake the old bar.

I'm getting used to it now. It'll become 2nd nature soon.

Trip, I've noticed sometimes logging in and loggin out gets mixed up. Like I will log out and then if I look at the main page it will still list me as logged in. Also, sometimes I will be logged in and posting and everything, and then go click something and it will ask me to log in again.

Any ideas?

If you are using firefox and have your password and info stored, sometimes it will keep you logged in even after you log out. Otherwise, quit trolling and stay logged in.

I don't have it stored, and I'm not trying to log out it just does it. If I've looked at my CP and a couple threads and then click back to the main page, it will show me as logged in but I won't actually be, and I won't be able to see any off topic stuff in the recent threads part. Then I have to log in again. Wtf.

I think those might be problems on your end.

I've experienced just the opposite... but it happened before and it's rare... but both at home and at work... I'll log in... post a couple times... then click on new posts... and be taken to the log in screen... it's weird... but not a big issue...
