20% off Dainese at Cycle Gear.

Had to act on it. Got this and a back protector for $933 OTD. 2010 Laguna Seca model. I had the 2008 LS model and it really saved my ass so it deserves another shot. Some better upgrades on this model, the titanium shoulders being one. And more padding throughout the whole suit too.

He's basically pissed that they haven't used him for ads considering his champ status and being a little whiney faggot. Doesn't help that vales a shareholder

Haha. He does have a point though. He's like the only one that can beat Vale when he's at full health.

Yeah, he's threatening to move to alpinestars

And then Spies will win the championship, hahaha.

This. Wish I had the dough to just dump on a $1000 suit.

For sure. Nice piece, bro.

Appreciate it. I have since returned it for a smaller size, and the suit I originally wanted in the first place. The LS Pro model. The major differences are that the pro model's padding is sewn in place, not velcro'd into place. And the venting system on the speed hump. Doubt I'll even feel that, but we'll see.

Congrats on the upgrade.

I prefer the looks of the white accents on the first suit.

I am trying to talk myself into an all black suit for this season but I'm having a tough time with the decision.

Dig the second suit better. White gets dirty too easy.

Cycle Gear should just leave Dainese on sale permanently, because it's never worth full retail. I mean seriously, who is going to pay $700 for just a jacket? Cuz that's what they ask a lot of times.

I beg to differ. My $1,000 suit saved my ass big time. You do have a point with jacket prices, I'll give you that.

Homeslice 01-03-2011 08:49 PM

But would you have paid $1500 for it? Because isn't that normally what they ask for?

Nope. The Laguna Seca is originally $1,000 (the Pro is $1,200). I got my first suit for $800 back in '08 during yet another 20% off sale. The sale helped me get the Pro model for under $1K and the back protector for under a bill.

Same. Well, kinda... I already bought an all-black suit and I'm working up the courage to wear it when it's 100+ this summer.

My old A* P1 suit had done its job time and time again, so I bought an A* MX-1. I didn't want a bright red or blue suit, so my only option was black. Feels good in my air conditioned house... we'll see how I feel about it in August!

Yea, you all shit on me and my white suit but it's the shit in the Summer...:rockwoot: My all black suit need not apply!:panic:

100+ degrees, you're sweating balls anyways. The air flows great through the perforations in my old suit. So all the sweating done at lights or whatever turns into a cooling system once you get up to speed again. And even though my suit was all black, I've never felt the sun "beaming" down on me, you know? Maybe it was because I couldn't feel it through the back protector. Good leather is quite comfortable in higher temps.
