I did something like that back in 2002.. BattleTrax. Bunch of Buell guys out of Cali came to Austin for ROT Rally and set it up in a parking lot. I wasn't any good, but to my knowledge I still hold the record for most laps ridden during a weekend. :D

Couple of items I noticed:
No clip-ons, handlebar riser.....bet that made a huge difference in balance. Saw some serious tire flex too. Maybe running 20psi? Killer skills though! |
I think I want to buy a cheap shitty bike and start doing this... looks like retarded fun and you don't need anything for room... plus if you eat shit, it's all slow... great fun.

BIG mistake using it for the first time at Shenandoah, thought I was going to fall off the bike in the quick full lean to full lean transitions. But once I was familiar with it, I was hooked. Great traction on the front in turns, which is helpful when you're an oaf like me and tend to put too much weight on the clip-ons. |

I switched away from Michelin before they came out the the new Power Ones. The old Michelins had great grip until they didn't and then they'd just let go. The Dunlops seemed to give much better feedback and a predictable slide when they started to go away rather than dropping you on your head. The Pirellis feel much the same. The new Michelins are supposed to be worlds better than the new but I'm happy and have no need to look back. The guys I know that ride them seem to love them. :idk: |
