Pucker time!
|
The road looked pretty straight, so all I can think is that the driver of that car didn't look far enough ahead before he tried to pass, or was trying to pass more than one car and ran out of distance. Don't they say that's one of the most common mistakes drivers make... underestimating the rate of approach?
Regardless, it's a good thing the car was willing to take the shoulder, and that the rider had the presence of mind to just hold his line and not overreact. Not sure I would have reacted as wisely in that situation. :panic: |
looks to me like driver passing uphill on a 2x yellow
did you see the end of the vid? |
Wow....I have no idea what those idiots in the car were thinking.

Driver needs his ass beat. Love the armchair tough guys in the YT comments taking about how he shouldn't have kept the same line etc... There was always the possibility the car would try to get back into the other lane and the bike did the best he could. If the fucktard in the car was dumb enough to pass where he did, who the fuck knows what kind of random shit he would have tried next! |

WOW on the bike vid.
Duke Boys on the jump. |
Hmm.. I was going to say he could have just had a slow reaction speed, but I saw him start to push left as the car was approaching. I guess it's just one of those 'I'm probably fucked, so I'll just go with it and hope for the best' situations.
And I've underestimated those bump in the road signs before, but not at that speed. >.> |

Plenty of room between the cars.

And yeah, I saw the car looking worse for wear down the embankment. |
