HJC will make him a poster boy! That is an incredible story!

JoJoYZF 08-19-2008 03:57 PM

Thats what I was thinking originally too, something like the kid driving through taco bell or similar.

Trip 08-19-2008 06:42 PM

holy god that helmet was fucked up

MikeSP1 08-19-2008 06:52 PM

Holy crap. And he had a cheap helmet on, imagine if he'd spent the money on an Arai or Shark. But that helmet was absolutely mangled. It's a good thing that he didn't get hit by a tire.

itgirl 08-19-2008 07:27 PM

wow! just wow!

NONE_too_SOFT 08-19-2008 07:35 PM

and why we dont make stupid passes.

FT BSTRD 08-19-2008 07:42 PM

Very lucky guy. I about got tuned by a minivan because of that exact same thing. Dumb pass on my part that almost ended badly.

Glad he made it.

i've got no hesitation passing somebody, but heres the thing, i fucking PASS THEM.

if im on a 2 lane rd, i kick it down to 2nd or 3rd, rev that bitch till its screaming so they know im comming, and get up into the 80's 90's so they dont even have a chance to pull some stupid shit.

none of this stupid creep by somebody. i make it quick and humiliating.

t-homo 08-19-2008 07:51 PM

Holy shit. How in the hell is that helmet, or his head, still intact?

Agreed, but we only know the computer animation was slow. Hauling ass was the only thing that saved me. The entire front end of the minivan was to my right. I'm always leary of passes now. I'd rather hold off on a pass than make one I regret. I occasionally will make a fake pass or two just to make sure that the driver uses their turn signal for left turns.

My minivan lady didn't.

I am the same way. I normally drop down to 3rd or 4th and hit it pretty hard. Look down as I am about to switch back to the same lane and its normally 100 to 105. And I will pass in double yellow as long as I feel it is safe and it isn't a cop SUV in front of me.

Do what now???

Which yeah the helmet saved his life but does he know how much cooler he'd look without one or atleast a Chrome Dome???

Glad I got my HJC!!! Of course I don't have his semi-good luck.

FT BSTRD 08-19-2008 09:22 PM

Saw a scrawny late sixties guy wearing a chrome WWII german helmet with his 20 something attractive girlfriend on the back of a ZX-14 on HWY 116 a while back.

I guess the Viagra is working. Or it coulda been the "hemet".

Quick recap: supposedly some kid on a gsxr (1000 I believe) was speeding with no gear on, estimated at 100mph+. There was some sort of slight curve and he missed it. Ended up crashing right through the front off a taco bell, through a wall or two, the kitchen then came out the back. His foot was some how found up in the ceiling tile, even though his body was in the parking lot. All of the pics got pulled off the internet so I cant post em for you unless someone on here saved them.

cheap stab. luckily only 5% of the board will actually get that one. I'll be sure to kick you in the nuts when you're sleeping next month.

Many of us have seen the pics from that one... gruesome to say the least.

JoJoYZF 08-19-2008 10:45 PM

No doubt about that. Definitely one of the worst bike wrecks Ive seen pics of. It actually was grosser to me than the guy who got split in half.

the taco bell guy definatly hit home, just due to the speed you'd have to hit to accomplish that. He went through fucking walls. The guy that got split by the pole hasn't been confirmed as real, but honestly it just doesnt strike me as gruesome as hitting a brick wall at >100mph .

JoJoYZF 08-19-2008 10:50 PM

Very true. Plus the taco bell guys leg was like jello and the look on his face was fuckin creepy.

OneSickPsycho 08-19-2008 10:51 PM

I still think the dude stuck head first in the back of a semi trailer is one of the gnarliest ones out there....

JoJoYZF 08-19-2008 10:52 PM

Definitely gnarly but not nearly as gruesome.

That was over a year ago and on the other board, so you are probably right.

I think Taco Bell has been the worst wreck I have seen.

One of the funniest traffic incidents I have seen was when the guys wheelchair got stuck in the front of a tractor trailer and the driver didn't know it till he got pulled over like 5 miles later.

dReWpY 08-20-2008 12:31 AM

gallatin is like 20 miles from where i life

Sixxxxer 08-20-2008 12:35 AM

That thing is MANGLED...Holy Jeebus.

I dunno hwo his head isnt shaped like the helmet??

Wow...

Rider 08-20-2008 08:02 AM

The bad thing about it is, I cant tell if the dude is brain damaged or not or was he already retarded before the wreck. :idk:

jtemple 08-20-2008 08:19 AM

I think the taco bell incident was also a suicide. Something to do with a girlfriend, the guy did it on purpose...

Nah, he doesnt need to be passing people to do that, I think he now has a personal vendetta against them and aims at em.

lmao. jojo's right, typically only hit them when we're out there all alone, just me and the rail and a turn. After all they dont put guard rails up on straights.

Mr Lefty 08-20-2008 06:24 PM

they do in Alaska.

I remember Neal Boortz talking about that. They said the guy was cool as can be too and laughed about it. Said it was a fun ride.

I'll have to find the Taco Bell stuff.

And not counting the Taco Bell since I have seen it yet. The ugliest wreck was some guy on a R1 I believe who went off the road at 174mph into the woods. The drug his body on the road and took pics of it.

Edit: Found it. Pretty crazy looking. I bet the workers there shit a brick when that came flying through.

Me. If I'm going flying through a restaurant I want it to atleast be Zaxby's.
