You will not regret it!

I bought a new Softail Crossbones last year, after 6 years on an rc51 and cbr1000rr. I am definately not sorry. That street glide is sexxxxxxxxxxxxxxy.

bmblebee 03-10-2009 08:55 PM

Congrats on the old man's bike!

Adeptus_Minor 03-10-2009 08:59 PM

Rock on, man.
Getting a cruiser isn't giving up the fight... it's just switching from a fighter jet to a tank. :rockout:

Porkchop 03-10-2009 09:00 PM

Thats ALOT of chrome to scratch..... lol

And is that a cd player? :phat:

Mr Lefty 03-10-2009 09:00 PM

Gas Man 03-10-2009 09:11 PM

Hmmm.... looks good. Nice street glide.

I got a few HD things up my sleeve that I won't release quite yet...

I see you also opted for the wheel upgrade to spokes...

What other bikes do you have if any?

I have a Yamaha 1100 Vstar Silverado that I will be giving to the wife. What HD tricks are you thinking about? Maybe I can be a test platform.

No CD although it has a place for an MP3 player. I made them give me a helmet because of the spoke wheels. I HATE to clean.

Yamerhaw 03-10-2009 09:22 PM

will look good "sitting" in front of Hooters or the local bar

i may get one in 80 or 90 years

nice bike

Are you sure about no CD player? lift up on the harley davison lid on the front of the unit... should be a cd player there

KSGregman 03-10-2009 09:28 PM

Nice ride! :dthumb:

Particle Man 03-10-2009 09:35 PM

very purdy

njchopper87 03-10-2009 09:35 PM

Grats on the new ride. Nice choice on the color, it brings out the chrome. And that does look like a CD player. :idk:

Smittie61984 03-10-2009 09:43 PM

When did you decide to become a mechanic???

Just kidding, not to shabby. Looks comfy.

Just checked the manual and you are correct. I didn't know I had one. I've only put 120 miles on it so far.

Trip 03-10-2009 09:49 PM

Don't forget to take your metamucil, it keeps you ole farts regular.

VatorMan 03-10-2009 09:50 PM

Thanks all. I never got a sportsbike because of my love for speed. That's why I got a Harley. If I want to go fast I jump in the car.

Cutty72 03-10-2009 10:24 PM

Nice ride... where's the cup holder?

Sixxxxer 03-10-2009 10:28 PM

Ill never understand why a Bike needs so much Shit on it...

But to each there own. Grats on the new ride.

As I understand it, the more consecutive miles you put in on it, the more you appreciate that 'shit'. Unless you're referring to the chrome... in which case, well, it gives you something to do in your spare time.

I would never want that stuff on a sportbike. But if i one day get a sport-tourer, im gonna want that stuff for long trips.

Apoc,

I hadn't seen your bike in person until this past weekend at bike week. It is sooooo much better looking than I had given it credit for. I really dig it.

Vator,

Nice Glide! I love the color and the wheels definitely make it pop. :dthumb:

JoJoYZF 03-10-2009 11:19 PM

I dont like harleys (even though a few family members ride them), but the vette is awesome.

MikeSP1 03-10-2009 11:57 PM

Sweet ride man, you will not regret it. It's all the same fight. Some choose a lightweight track star, others choose a hard hitting brawler. Some run with both. Ride on man.

Quick281 03-11-2009 01:03 AM

Awesome bike.

I don't see anything wrong with owning a bike thats bike and comfortable.

So that when they take them to be worked on at "service centers", guys named Earl can poke at the internals with cheap cigars and say "Lookit all them WIRES in there!"

I just can't get into those bat wings... I know they serve their purpose but... They aren't my style. If I was going the cruiser route a Soft Tail night train would be on the short list. Congrats on the pick up though.

Now that is badass.... if only we could do something about that headlight....

Gas Man 03-11-2009 11:30 AM

Nightrods are UBER SWEET. But if you are use to a cruiser you won't like it. Its a mid way point from a sportbike to cruiser... very forward feel but with your feet in front on the forward controls. That would be the hardest part for a sportbike rider to get use to. I know it was for me on the chop

I demo'd one last time I was at the dealer. Really killer machine. Had about 10 miles on the clock when we left the parking lot. I'd buy one for sure.

The new vettes are badass. Buddy of mine got to ride in that 2009 ZR1 vette. Said it about made him cry it was so fast.

I'll never get one. It's so heavy I doubt I could get it off it's stand. It's a sexy beast (for a cruiser) though! :)

I'd love to rock one. My Vette only puts down 500 hp to the wheels so the ZR1 has to be a riot when you mash the go pedal !!

Awesome! Can't wait to see one in action...
http://thekneeslider.com/images/xr1200new3.jpg

Though it's likely I'd never get one myself because I'm going to ride this F3 of mine until it absolutely dies on top of me not making enough to afford any kind of new bike. But I was kind of pissed that for a bit only Europe was going to get it.

For a Harley it's pretty reasonably priced....less than $12,000.

Well for me a Ninja 250 is out of my price range. I have a paid off bike and I hope it survives for 2-3 more years. Once I get through school I might get a new one. But probably a litre or hyperbike just for straight line fun.

Fastguy 03-16-2009 07:58 PM
