Dropped it....

got it out to take my oldest daughter for her first ride, started it up to warm up, started to walk away, saw something move out of the corner of my eye, IT WAS MY BIKE ROLLING!! rolling as it was falling forward off the kick stand.... i grab it but only managed to give it full throttle as it fell....

i kinda broke its fall, and was in soft grass, so no broke parts, no scratches, just some dirt in the swing arm spools, pegs, and frame sliders

hope nobody saw, cause i'm sure they would have thought why is that guying laying his bike on its side with the throttle twisted wide open:whistle:

Is your driveway on a hill?

I almost did something along those lines the other day. I think you commented on that gangster lean my bike has? Well, i was getting off of my bike in the middle of my friends street which is very slanted towards the curb. I started to swing my leg over and the bike kep going and going, and i thought the bike started to fall. And then it finally hit the stand. It's so rediculous.

driveway is pretty much flat where it was parked, i may just have not had the kickstand all the way down, i need to lube it

Sixxxxer 03-10-2009 10:27 PM

My Buddys old SRAD had a Gangster Lean...On an inclined hill your right, It's ridiculous.

Particle Man 03-10-2009 11:05 PM

That is one of the worst feelings in the pit of your stomach, knowing that it's falling and that there's very little you can do about it...

Yamerhaw 03-10-2009 11:08 PM

as anal as i am over my bike, i'm afraid had i been standing on the other side i would have thrown myself underneath it without even thinking about it

at which point, you'd have been glad it wasn't an SV since such a move tends to burn the piss out of your leg (don't ask me how I know that)

marko138 03-11-2009 08:04 AM

You're lucky. I dropped my old Zuk in the driveway 3 times while I was cleaning it once. I was beyond pissed off.

I don't think lubing your driveway is going to help.

Yes they do. It's just one-sided.

They never forget what you do, but they always seem to forget what they're supposed to do.

Reminds me of Kat Williams' newest standup special. The very last 8 minutes of the special are about him buying and crashing his first motorcycle. I ABOUT DIED the first time i saw it, it was so damn funny.

This is shitty quality but whatever....
