Tach problem could be a smiple change in how many cylinders you have in the dash settings.

The install was not terribly difficult but it was time consuming to figure out and splice together all the wires. Also, the hubby had to design and fabricate brackets for the speed sensor and display mounting.

It came with a display mounting bracket but it would not have worked for mounting it in the stock location.
Original speedo was cable which is why I had to mount a new speed sensor instead of tapping into a stock electronic signal.
It did have a tachometer before and it worked fine. The setting are fine but Hubby thinks that the way he put the excess wire (instead of cutting it off) is messing with the signal. He is going to redo it when he puts the new water (not oil) temperature sensor in.
