Chopping exhaust on a v twin?

I'm about to buy a Honda VT700 for dirt cheap and I'm thinking of fabbing some short slash cut open headers for it. Will I need to make major adjustments to the carb?

Yes... well not too major. Needles up 1mm, 3 or 4 sizes up on the on the mains and .5-1. turns out on the idle fuel screws should be in the ball park.
