Bam, ...clank, clank, clank, oil all over the dyno.

Probably broke the crank right though the case. This was during a dyno run competition where bikes were putting down 450hp top the wheel.

that didnt look quite like oil to me. why the hell is it all reddish looking?

Thats what I thought too but the color must just be off because that is definitely oil.
