Have people always been so trashy?
Is striving for trashiness a new fad, or is the internet just helping us become more aware of it? I either see it more and more or notice it more and more every time I go out. Then there's the peopleofwalmart site which just completely blows my mind...though I've seen some of the same stuff.
One thing is for sure, I never leave home without at least one camera now.

People's addiction to TV, video games, the internet, and faraway suburban homes has created a home-nesting culture that has no clue how to act or dress when in public.

I don't know but it is annoying.
I've got a similar thought: Do trashy people know that they are trashy? -If so, do they like it or do they not think they can/should do any better? -If not, do they look at "regular" people and think they are extra snobbish/uptight?

I think it all started when it was no longer socially acceptible to spank your own child.
I use to FEAR the raised hand....now kids tell call their mother bitch (anyone see the octomom special?) and act however-the-hell-they-please. And part of that is refusing to care about themselves or how they look when they go out. To me....sorry-ass=lazy and when I see the "people of walmart" the first thing I think is that they are lazy, and I bet their house reflects that

People are (ironically) striving to be more unique. What I find hilarious is that they're doing it the exact same way as everyone else.
Irony FTW
