Best way to sell guns?
Relative died in Missouri, and I'm here cleaning out stuff. He has several 357's, 9mm's, 45's, etc.........Clean, not very much use, with original boxes too.
I'm going to go get offers from a couple gun shops, but other than that........ How do I get top price? Craigslist locally? I know I can't ship them across state lines, right? What do you guys usually do? |

They can be shipped across state lines, but you are probably going to run in to difficulties bring some of them, if not all of them, in to California no matter how they get there (high capacity magazines, possible banned calibers, possible need to register before bringing them in). Count on having to deal with this in Missouri. Shipping isn't the problem. I've shipped guns to and from manufacturers for warranty work. It is completely legal, but has to be overnight. The legal problems arise from transfers of ownership. There are places where you can sell them (craigslist, gunbroker.com) that will get you more money, but they are going to end up being a real pain in the dick. It will be significantly easier to take the hosing gun shops will give you and call it a day. |

You can't sell them on Craiglists... they are prohibited. There are a lot of similar sites you can sell them on... or auction them off.
You could always put pictures up on here so people can help you identify/price them and some may be interested in buying as well. That's certainly where I'd start... |

I'm looking at getting my GF a 9mm for protection. I'd be interested in that.
If not find some ghetto spot and sell them there. I know in some local advertisers you can sell guns. Here in Georgia at least.

Post them. Whats he got? And yes, you can ship. Must be through UPS for FedEx. Not USPS. However, FFL's can ship through USPS.
