You know, as I approach the big 5-0, I am starting to lose a lot of friends I grew up with.
My dad is 80, and I feel so sorry for him. Almost every one of his contemporaries is gone. It must be very sad. As a musician, I've been hit rather had lately by the loss of many of my lifetime musical influences. Growing old is better than the alternative, but it's a bit lonely.
