How's 2011 working out for you?

Well. So far I got a 10% raise and get to have 5 days vacation.

Not as good as 2010 so far. Lost my prime reserved parking spot at work

...we have a sick cat (wife's before we were married) at home that's having to go to the vet quite often and our dog is going in on Saturday for his annual check up and has to have x-rays on his knee and will have to have surgery fairly soon. Money money money money MMOONNEEYY !!!

My raise which is effective 2/1/11 is only about 3 % BUT at least I do get something and I do have a decent job so that's a good thing.

I did end up 2010 with a 9 % bonus

but that was 2010.

Bonus sucked, and a doucher crashed into my company truck on Tuesday. But I get 20 vacation days this year (by time), and being manager gets me another 10, so it isn't all bad.

I got a surprise bonus and a decent raise. It sure beat the piss out of the salary freeze we've been on for the last two years. At least I stayed employed and I like my job.

The shitty thing that happened was our insurance benefits went to hell. We now have to pay premiums plus 100% of everything out of pocket upfront, until our deductible is met. My family had two surgeries in 2010 and I paid nearly $5000 in premiums and never met our deductible. Our surgeries were all paid for 100% out of my pocket.

Not good but not bad.
Won't know about my raise until April or May.
Health insurance went up but haven't seen the effects since I won't get paid until the 25th.
Already getting overtime, so check should be good.
Won't know the bonus for another couple weeks.

A lot of unknowns which is the story of my life right now.

It's been 1 week; a bit premature, but from what rumors I hear about the OP, that is to be expected.

In 1 week I've received free replacement iKeys for the Altima from Nissan due to a recall - which saved me $200 to replace one of them because my wife washed it in her pants pocket......the projects I was working on which compelled me to cancel the second half of my holiday vacation were completed successfully and I am expecting a spot bonus for doing so........I'm in good health, wife and son are in good health, and we are wanting for nothing........so yes, I've had a great 2011 so far.

Oh, and like Amorok, I had sex the first couple hours of 2011. In our bedroom. With the TV.
