What do you get your parents?
When you buy gifts for your parents (for instance Christmas) what do you get them?
They have everything. They buy what they need. I'm lucky that my father rides so he's easy to shop for. My mother is a nightmare. So this year I got them tickets to the Blue Collar Comedy tour with friends of theirs. |

Parent s are tough to shop for, that's why my wife does ALL the shopping for gifts. I'm dead serious, the only person I buy a gift for is my wife. Well I do have input on what my kids get, but the actual money transactions... my wife does that part.

My dad is easy. He likes to ride his bike (pedal). We get him stuff for the bike, or bike related stuff. Mom. Well, she's a little more difficult. She like puzzles and electronic games. Can't go wrong with something sentimental either.

They are always impossible to shopt for. And I'm hesitant to give my dad anything of real value or it will end up in one of his yard sales.
For the in-laws - gift certificate for their favorite restaurant. For each of my parents - a candy serving dish and some gourmet snack stuff. Useless, I know...but they have everything they want. |

Mom has passed, so just a visit from us.
Now the old man, he is getting a track day with my son and I. He will be riding on the back of the 2 up bike. I will tell him when we get there...
