Speaking of that, does anyone know of any kind of free utility that will strip geotagging info out of photos?
EDIT: Nevermind, found out how to do it on an app I have on hand. Last edited by jtemple; 12-18-2010 at 10:03 AM.. |

Do tell. I have it turned off but it would be useful to know how to yank em off older photos.

http://www.faststone.org/FSViewerDetail.htm Right Click Photo -> Tools -> Remove JPEG Metadata You can also remove it with Picasa: http://picasa.google.com/ Picasa instructions for removing Geotagging: http://picasa.google.com/support/bin...n&answer=43899 Geotagging. Cameras with GPS built in (mostly just phones) embed Latitude/Longitude information into every photo you take. If you put the photos online, anyone that feels like stalking you can find out where you live, where you've been and when, and what kind of cool stuff you have to steal. |
