Default Cell phone charging

is it just me or do yo ufind it tacky if someone plugs in their cellphone in a place of business or a hospital or something.

had a pt get all upset before when I wouldnt let her charge her phone, its actual dept policy that theyre not allowed to because god knows one of these knuckleheads will electrocute themselves and will then own the hospital.

I still see them doing it with the oultets in the waiting room, couple of the nurses I asked also thought its kinda tacky.

They do it at the bar all the time but that's all these fuckers do is text and yakk on the phone all night so it keeps them there longer.

At least when they wind up in the hospital after leaving my bar they have a full charge...

Shoulda told the idiots up here about that. this one was knockin shit over tryin to get to an outlet, I had to break it to her that shes not that important that she needs to take a phone call at 3am. Plus she was texting away in the waiting room and had to tell her to shut it off and put it away when I went in the room to see her.

I preferred it when cells weren't permitted in places like hospitals. It made it rather clear cut.

And yes, stealing someone else's current is tacky.

My phone can go an entire week without a charge. Of course my usage is very very low. And Tom, HTF are people going to electrocute themselves charging a phone? You'd have to be a complete fucking moron..... oh wait you are talking about the general population...? I see your point.

We still have signs prohibiting cell phone use, but apparently none of them can read I cant count how many I have had to tell them to shut their phone off more than once. If youre there for a true emergency we will give some leeway but when youre there becasue your back hurts for 6 months and dont wanna go to work tomorrow, too fucking bad.

And this was better this skell almost knocked over a slit lamp which is not something cheap to replace.

The way I see it is that every doctor, nurse, assistant, and janitor in the hospital has a phone and I have had them take numerous calls while in the middle of treating me or my kids. I'm not turning my phone off for someone who won't do the same for me.

No one should be taking a call in the middle of dealing with a 'client' either. It's unprofessional and rude.

Depends on the place I guess.
In a hospital, yeah, unless they are staying there a long time with a patient or something.
But who really carries their charger around with them anyway?

I see it in airports all the time. I've been known to plug in my laptop while there to get a little juice. Are they really going to miss the one cent of electricity I'm using after I've dropped 400 bux on a ticket?
