Crazy Christmas Cul du Sac
So, up the street we have what we refer to as the Crazy Christmas Cul du Sac. They have a thing for Christmas. It started small a few years ago, and has gotten larger each year. This year - they are renting decorations, I saw the company out there last weekend setting up the pole for the overhead lights and putting out the stuff on the curbs. It's ridiculous.
I will give them SOME credit - they have an EZ-up in the center of the cul du sac that has food shelf donations... and they are out there every night with a bon fire. I'm curious if they let people know before they buy a house on the street that you have to drink the Kool Aide? Last year, there was one for sale that didn't sell all season. Wonder why?? Going in...  This is the most crazy of the houses. Each one of the others has a stand out front doing the Night Before Christmas.    Exiting.

Makes me miss home!! When I lived in DFW it was nothing to see whle neighborhoods decorated, it was tradition to drive around Christmas Eve and see them all! I agree, it is a bit much, but it just makes my heart happy to see such festivity!

There is a HUGE neighborhood about 30 minutes from here that looks like that.
No joke, probably 85% of the 'hood decorates like that. I am actually putting together a group ride to go up there next weekend. We'll have to take some pics. I think it is cool. |

My kids would go nuts if we drove down that street. Every other night we take the long way home from the sitters so the kids can look at all the lights. They love it.
