New Bike Day...#2
Just put a down payment on a 2000 R1. It has a full Hindle exhaust system, Stage 3 jet kit, K&N air filter, brembo brake lines, and a -2 sprocket in the back. -2 because he wanted to tame it down some in the low end. Paint job done by him because he liked Rossi's YZR M1 so much, but wanted red. He does car body work on the side, adn when I got there he was working on a lexus. Only downfall is that is currently has 42K miles on it. I gave him 300 today to hold until next tuesday when my dad and I can pick it up. I rode it about 4 blocks, and it felt very smooth and controlable, but like anytime I wanted to, I could throw the front end up in the air. Seating position was pretty comfortable for what it is.
I snapped some pictures before I left. Last edited by t-homo; 05-06-2008 at 11:57 PM.. |

sweet... fuck that's a step up from the Blast!
with technology being what it is... I'll say that that bike will easly do 100k... the only reason you don't see more bikes with 100k is they get sold so much for the latest and greatest. My goal is to hit 100k on my bike... 6k right now... |

I will probably leave the gearing for now. Maybe go back to stock at some point. Chain and sprocket were changed last year so its not like I need to replace them soon as far as wear. |

I'd say leave the gearing as is... it's gonna be a big step up as is... after a while then step it back to stock...
