My car was idling like crap the other day so I figured since I just got it, it may have been awhile since anyone changed the oil out. I decided to go ahead and change the oil. I used Mobile 1 synthentic oil like I was reccomended on here. Anyways, I drain out the oil and noticed it was extremely dark and even after 10 minutes of draining, it was still coming out. I decided to go ahead and flush it to make sure all the bad stuff got out. I hooked up the hose, ran water through the engine, started it up and was waiting for the water to come out clean (The engine never went above idle so I was told this would be ok). Anyways, About 3 minutes into this, then engine starts shaking and shuts off. I figured it was all cleaned out so I plugged it up, added the oil and figured I was ready to go. WRONG! The car won't freaking start now. This car has been nothing but trouble for me, I think I am done with it.

I just read that entire thread...

I feel sorry for the kid... he bought the car... tried to do a bit of maintenance... and apparently didn't pick up on someone's sarcasam in another thread when they told someone to flush all the old oil out with water while it idled...

fuck man... that's just sad.

Danger of getting advice from the wrong source. I feel a bit sorry for them, if just because a VERY good friend of mine was told to squeegee out her motor when doing an oil change by draining the oil and then firing it up with the plug out. I nabbed her before she could and explained the downside and no upside.

It happens more often than people think....

Some people just shouldn't ever handle their own maintenance. Ever.

EPIC FAIL to the highest power. what a RETARD! water not go in crankcase so well, motor dislike that taste. particularly when running.... I wanna see the mechanic's face and hear his words when that car comes in and the diagnosis is made.... WHAT THE FUCK? you put WATER in the crankcase? as he's walkin over to the toolbox for a big wrench to hit the tard with.
