Lulz. Been up there. It's a trip, especially when it starts to sway in the wind. I've seen grown men freeze up from the fear.

Seriously. I had to look away a few times.

Let me be the first to say with conviction:

FUCK THAT!

Sky diving off instead of climbing down would be worth it. I wonder what they get paid?

Depends on what they do. If you have decent SATCOM or fiber experience, you can make a buck or two.

On Nat Geo, the show "Worlds Toughest Fixes" they have a show on fixing a radio tower and how they get the antenna up to the top. It's amazing how those guys can swing around and be fearless about it.

I've been up 160 feet on a boom lift and that scared the shit out of me, I couldn't imagine climbing the tower like that. But skydiving from 10,000 feet didn't bother me so much.

Crazy Bastards.

I used to change the lights on the forward mast and on the yardarm in the Navy underway. Loved that shit but I think I'd draw the line on 1700 ft.
