Casio Patchfinder Watch

Can anyone help me figure out if the light on the Casio Patchfinder watch will stay on, without holding the button down?

I need a men's outdoor type watch that the back-light stays on without holding the light button.

I don't think that there are any watches that would have the backlight stay on permanently. It'll burn the battery out too quickly.

Unless you want to go with the analog watches that have tritium markers that stay brightly lit for a long time (at least until the tritium begin to die out - around 6 years or so).

I have a casio g-shock solar wave ceptor that has an option that will turn the light on when you turn your wrist up to look at your watch to read it in the dark but it does not stay lit all the time. It will run the battery down though as stated above and in the winter months I have to shut that option off as I am not in the sun light enough to recharge the battery.

It doesn't need to be lit all the time, but need one that doesn't need you to hold the button to have the light on. Ideally you press the light button and it stays on for 2-3 minutes.

Most watches has two light functions. One where you can hold the light button and the light stays on for as long as you hold the button or you can hold the button down for a given time and then it switches to stay on mode for a given amount of time.

Not sure if that helps for the watch you want but it's been standard for awhile now.
