Default Ezpeleta to lift rookie rule...

Looks like the rookie rule will be repealed in GP....

Initially it looked like Ezpeleta was bending the rules to allow Marquez to move to HRC without any problems. If anybody is on twitter, riders took to it this afternoon to say they were bending the rules for a budding spanish star. Ben Spies tweeted,

"Heard the rookie rule is being changed back again......@texastornado5 sometimes I guess we need a diff passport? -- Ben Spies (@BenSpies11)

followed by

"Not hating on Marquez at all. The kid is fast. I'm just stating facts that no matter where ur from in shouldn't hinder or help u. -- Ben Spies (@BenSpies11)

New reports are saying that Ezpeleta talked to the 4 satellite teams and they all felt they would be in a better situation with their current riders. Understandable as there would need to be 2 huge "silly seasons" to accommodate the move to a satellite team, and then a move to HRC. Looking at it that way.... as long as the satellite teams want it this way, it seems like an easier situation.

So what do you think? A Spanish governing body bending the rules for a Spaniard? Or better for the sport?

I never liked the rookie rule. If a factory wants to gamble on a noob, that should be their choice.

Sink or swim, trial by fire, go big or stay home (feel free to add your own cliche' any time).

Run what 'ya brung.

That not for sure. I've heard the factories may be caving on a rev limit and a one bike rule.

It doesn't matter anymore. MotoGP is dead.

This. I have been enjoying WSBK or Moto2/3 much more this year. I pretty much skip through the GP torrent to get the high points...
