Some dude took offense because I didn't like MY CAR
So, there I was, doing some much needed cleaning on the motos and some guy that looks like Wolfman Jack in a ratty MG convertible suddenly stopped in the middle of the street and inquired about my car (BMW Z4 3.0). I told him that it's "just a car" with a shrug of a shoulder and went back to cleaning my bikes. The guy then started asking all kinds of shits about the car (how it rides, how reliable is it, is the soft top waterproof, blah, blah, blah) because he's interested in buying one.
I got pissed off and told him that it is the worst piece of shit I've ever had the displeasure to own. Next thing I know this fucker was quoting Car & Driver and Road & Track about the positive reviews and all that shits about the car. So I told him that it's pretty funny he knows more about a car that he doesn't own than its owner of several years. The guy got into a huff and went tearing off down the road in his ratty MG. WTF, over?

Well, when the Z4 first came out, there was no M version. And even if there were an M version, it would still be shitty when compared to my motorcycles.

That's what you should have told him... "Car and Driver said my M4 was nowhere near as cool as my Tuono."

well it was one of the notchiest gearboxes ive ever had the displeasure of rowing and the engine had no sweet rasp to it. i think most of the people who do all the ranting about how great bmws are werent car people in the first place. neither one was any comparison in fun factor to my daytona shelby, much less my nsx

Is it really the shittiest car you've owned? I had an E46 M3 Cabriolet. I enjoyed it but I could tell it was going to give me problems. I ended up trading it in early because I was laid off but I always figured I'd never drive that car past its warranty. It stranded me on the highway once in the first year I owned it.

Sounds like you crushed the guys dreams with a real opinion of the car. Maybe he'll off himself.
