I was goin gto post something about it, its def a different vibe here being the worst of it occured here. They had a memorial today on the jobsite which was prety cool. Still remembe rmost of the details of my day like it was yesterday. Fortunatley no one I knew died that day but my sister was working in the trade center and got out well before the collapse.

I visited ground zero in 05. We were allowed access to the section where family and service members would leave small memorials. My buddy Steve left a dress hat. While we were near there, I saw a poem written on a wall of a nearby building. It choked me up pretty hard. I took a picture of it. Unfortunately it's on a broken laptop of mine.

I wish I could post it. As tough as I try to be, just remembering it right now has my eyes welling up. It was from a policeman or fireman to his fallen friends..

The daily news had a pic of a tattered flag that some fireman hung on some rigging that day. I think that was the most moving pic I had seen. Showed those fuckers that you could take your shots at us but were not going anywhere. I will see if I can find it.

the cleanup, heroes, memorial pics just desenitized the day for me. This is 9/11 to me with all the emotion of the day. All the anger and confusion for those that are now gone.

my day began in anger. They finally left enough of the free newspaper at the train station this morning and it didnt say a damn thing about what day it was on the cover. Two pages in they had a full page special about how badly weve treated muslims since. Fuck the metro

I purchased a 2000 Ninja EX500 8 years ago today. My first bike titled in my name.

I can still remember where I was and what I was doing when I heard what was happening. All the media websites were overloaded so I ended up catching most of it from Howard Stern on the radio and Cycleforums.
