While I'm At It..VTR1000 w 2K miles....
I posted this a few weeks back. it really is in nice shape, had 1500 miles on it when I picked it up, now it has about 2200. Needs nothing Md inspected ready togo. I was going to keep it, but I found a wrecked 955i I think that's going to be my "cabin" bike (I'll keep it in the shed up at the cabin, so when we have to cage up with the dogs, I can still ride). I'll need the room in the garage for the resto, so the Superchicken will need to go.
As an aside, I rode the 996 about 300 or so miles on Sunday up and down the mountains, left two buddies GONE, one on a Z1000 and the other on a 675 Triumph. Roads were bumpy and tight and I was VERY impressed with tractability, handling and braking. I did not experience the stalling phenomenon under heavy braking (do downhill stoppies count?) that azoom had mentioned in this post http://www.twowheelfix.com/showthread.php?t=1220 . Bike ran flawlessly. |

Nice bike and I love the color but I want something newer(FI'd) even though it has extremely low miles on it.
