Gas Man and marko pillage the East (MASSIVE pics)
Anyone who reads this forum knows Gas Man came out to PA last weekend. We covered 500 miles, rode through 4 states, ate 2 different cheesesteaks, demo'd Victory motorcycles, hit a massive rally, and ate way too much food.
On with the pics. Friday: Gas Man arrives. 2 push-rod twins ready to do business. Saturday: We hit the local Victory dealer to do a demo ride. We were on a tight schedule all weekend so we had to get there early to get on the first ride. We both wanted to ride the Cross Country (the Street Glide clone) but they were both spoken for. So Gas rode the Vision and I rode the Cross Road (Road King clone) The Cross Roads was nice. But not totally refined. It was loud mechanically. Gas says it was the straight cut gears making that racket. But extremely comfortable. This was the first touring bike I've ever rode. Felt like I could go all fucking day on this beast. Relatively easy to maneuver at parking lot speeds. Gas and I switched bikes for the 10 minute ride back to my house. The Ultra is heavy. No joke. But once you get it rolling its super easy to ride. And oh man, is it comfortable. Much like the Buell there's just so much torque down low, which the Victory lacked. Gas Man proceeded to wheelie my Buell as we approached a stop sign a block from my driveway. I was watching him in the mirror of his bike and BOOM...up comes my front wheel. I started laughing out loud and so did he. I could tell he was having a good time on the torque monster XB. He claims me telling him the front wheel comes up easy was more like an invitation than a warning. No harm, no foul. He's only the 3rd person other than me to ride my bike. From there we went south to Hanover to meet up with OTB. Long story short, OTB got caught in some wicked traffic and we never met up with him. So we headed south to MD. Rode 77 through Thurmont near Camp David. Gas has some good pics from that ride that my wife took from the back of his bike. Then we rode back to PA through 4 state parks and 1 big ass state forest. Good roads. Not a totally shitty ride. 200 miles. Sunday: Up early again. Heading east to Ephrata for a once a month massive rally. Hundreds and hundreds of bikes show up for this thing. Gas HD, my buddy's FZ1, and my Buell: This is left field of a baseball field: First Buell sighting: A couple Prillers: 2nd Buell sighting...a CR with a bad ass looking exhaust. Not the best sounding though, A S2: A XB9S that was for sale. Wish I coulda bought it: Tons of bikes: Another XB: Moar with the peoples: Row of Ducs: A few RC51 sightings as well:

You know how I loves me Buells: Now on toward Philadelphia via Wilmington, DE. We met at 9th and Passyunk...an hour late: Thats the intersection with the world famous Pat's King of Steaks and Geno's Steaks. My wife's cousin was there, Phenix Rider was waiting for us since noon. We hit Pat's first, since everyone says they are the best: The mushroom steak with provolone wit out: Good but not as good as it's made out to be. Then the rest of the crew rolled up. Derf, Dave, his old lady. After eating that steak we walked across the street, where only Gas Man and I were man enough to eat another steak. From there we wanted to be the rain home, but Gas needed his NJ sticker so we rolled out. Notice Derf running to assult my bike: Finally we stop for fuel. Everyone peeled off but Phenix: We followed that guy all the way from Harrisburg. Turns out it was a dude I know. He inspected my Buell when I bought it.

Gas Man took a shit ton of pics too. And my wife snagged some good moving shots from the back of his bike. Hopefully he'll post those soon.
