gotta ask
Okay, so after i get all the "must do" stuff done to my bike, like replacing switches and such im going to finish up the "Appearance" work.
But one thing i REALLY Want but is to much if you ask me is a aftermarket keyless Fuel cap like the full twist and 1/8th turn caps. $109 for a fucking full twist cap. and 60+39 for the Vortex twist cap. And here is a kick in the ass. I have found Fuel cell caps that i REALLY like. . . .BUT a fuel cell uses 6 screws where a bike used 7. . so you pay 60+ more for ONE extra hole in the base. So WHY, is there not a cheaper Keyless Cap for Bikes?

You mean, like this ?
I know, it doesn't say it's cheaper - but if you sign up as a user on their site they give you a discount.

I love their products - their rearsets are the best ever. Their site is a bit cumbersome to navigate though... just keep poking around.

Bummer.
I would say, call them tomorrow. Or, I have a spare - but mine are these. I was going to suggest sending you one to see if it lined up. But, you didn't want to spend that....

You should take yors off and look under it you might besurprized how many are only 1/8 of a inch long and go nowhere.
Personall I like the stock lid on my street bikes and the screw on on the track bike only cause it does not have a key to forget at home. I don't like the screw on lid cause it gets stuck some times and I doubt they are as water proof at the stockers. They do look nice but if you piss some one off they have easier way to mess with your scooter. I could see a girl you gave a ride and cab fair to getting upset and dumping some sugar in your tank. No way she could do that with the locking cap. |
