I shoot the pipe, but I didn't shoot the water tank
Yesterday, I was awaken by an endless running water pump in the basement (the pump for the pressure tank) - not a good sound at all
So, I get up, turn the pump off, and make my way up the hill to look at the cistern. What I found was this: an cistern (500 gal tank) bobbing inside the old concrete holding tank, and the exposed water pipe from the spring spewing water down the hill..... with a bullet hole How did I know it was a bullet hole? Easy: hubby and his friend decided to do some target practice a few days ago and on the bottom of the hillside. I clearly remember asking them if they shot the tank It wasn't hard to fix, but I had to drive 25 miles each way to buy replacement pipe. He still claims it was a ricochet - yeah right

and - to his defense - the bullet we got out of the pipe wasn't from his gun...
