LOL, I don't agree with half those awards. Houston weather sucks IMO, and as far as good economy, that's only because of 2 things: The oil industry, and cheap-ass housing prices compared to other big metro areas. Also a huge portion of Houston is ghetto.

I loved Houston when I grew up there. We lived in a wicked, safe neighborhood with a community pool, playgrounds, green belts, soccer fields.... Had lots of opportunities as kids to have a excellent, safe childhood.
Would I move back there now if given the chance, nope... Not interested. Urban sprawl has taken over. Rush hour starts before 6 am. There's stop lights everywhere. Crime is pretty impressive and growing up there it was just something you came to expect/accept. Riding would suck in comparo to where I live now. I miss a couple things about Texas, but as I grow older, am preggers, big cities aren't as appealing to me. I still think Houston/Texas is an awesome place. Lots of amazing people. culture, food, even land scape. But I did it for 17 years. Time to move on |

I dont think I could live in a place like Houston. I grew up in a small town, and ive grown pretty used to driving 30 minutes for a coffee, because inconveniences like that also allow hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, etc etc right in my back yard.
I love smaller cities like Moncton and Halifax, but i hated places like Edmonton and Toronto. Plus, the best thing about Houston left when she got out of highschool |

How about reasons not to live in Houston?
1. Everyone talks like Hank Hill. |

I don't talk like Hank Hill...
But Tracy does (maybe more like Boomhauer).. and he's moving to Austin.
