Shit! I don't know if you are counting medical debts... since I decided that fighting cancer was a legitimate reason to incur some bills... Well, guess what? I applied for assistance from VA and was approved so... debt free!!!! Wooo hoo!!! You guys were right about not worrying about it!

0 debt, but I rent.
However I'm month to month so if I lose my job I can move to a less expensive place. I took Dave Ramsey's advice 3 years ago (except the rent thing).

I'm prob ok on my house. If I'm upside down, it's not by much. Doesn't matter, I'm not moving in the next 10 years. My CC debt is up there but not anything I couldn't knock out in 8-10 months. I'm a bit reckless with my money and frankly, I'm ok with it. I've got some tucked away for retirement...some tucked away for emergencies, and blow the rest like a crack whore scoring rock.
I make decent scratch and my wife does as well. If things were a little tighter it would be a different story. We kinda do what we want. The baby has certainly put us in check a bit more. |
