What kind of engineer are you that can't fix a simple motor?! Blasphemy I say! LOL

I'm thinking there may be grounds for turning your man card in too.

I'm not THAT kind of engineer I failed EE 200...TWICE

I think I need a job at NC Department of Administration.....so I can review drawings, totally miss entire detail sheets, yet find errors on canned details used since 95 ....then put a disclaimer that I need a sit-down with the engineer because the project is so complex that I need my hand held to actually further review them, even after 5 sheets of comments.

No kidding....I got a review set back yesterday Trace that had comments so stupid on it that I went from saying "Refer to detail 9/P4.8" to "OMG" and I actually faxed that back to Raleigh this morning I can't wait for the reponse

Holycrap Troy! You gotta tell me what they say about that?! I've seen some pretty ridiculous review comments myself. The most ambiguous one I got was on a plan sheet and in huge red letters across the sheet it said *REALLY?*. I took an equally large red pen and wrote under it *REALLY!*. Didn't get any more stupid review comments after that.

Funny you say that, most engineers I know are great in theory, but couldnt figure out which way to turn a wrench if their life depended on it.

Very true!

I stepped out years ago and built a show truck from a pile of rust...prior to that I hadn't done much further than change the oil in my vehicles. Then I got the TLR and went hog-wild. I can fix just about anything if I can find a manual...but I'm very hesitant to mess with electrical devices. Home electrical is also something I'm not fond of doing...but in 2001 I added a master suite to my old house and completely wired it (short of final panel connections) but most of my fellow engineers can swing a club like a pro...but couldn't change their own flat tire with AAA standing next to them giving blow by blow instructions

I've got a vertical tank version (slightly larger?) and had to replace the brushes before.

I think I'll jump off the fucking roof before I do that again. I'm convinced they did not build these suckers to be rebuildable (I invented words when I ran out of normal curse words).

As much as I love this thing, it dies again I'll replace the brushes one more time and any time after that it's probably going and I'll put money into something like this:

How did it act before you replaced them? I mean...what made you think that was it?

Don't you know anything about electrical devices? They all run on magic smoke. If the magic smoke escapes, they won't run anymore. Sounds like yours sprung a leak. It's broke

it just took longer and longer to kick on until finally it wouldn't kick on at all.
