2010 Superbike Smackdown
So I don't think this is a repost, but MotoUSA did a super comparo this year instead of splitting them up like Motorcyclist did. The videos are pretty awesome. Steve Atlas and Adam Waheed don't pump out as much technical information as the Sport Rider guys, but they are pretty descriptive and funny as hell....
But boy would I love to have these guys jobs for just a goddamn week, ride all these beasts, and make my own deductions. Intro Vid - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cAO1s...eature=related Track Part 1 - http://www.motorcycle-usa.com/817/Mo...---Part-1.aspx Track Part 2 - http://www.motorcycle-usa.com/816/Mo...---Part-2.aspx Track Part 3 - http://www.motorcycle-usa.com/815/Mo...---Part-3.aspx Street Part 1 - http://www.motorcycle-usa.com/824/Mo...---Part-1.aspx Street Part 2 - http://www.motorcycle-usa.com/823/Mo...---Part-2.aspx As far as the conclusions and placing go, it seems about right. I completely hate how Ducati sends a tricked up Corse S to a stock competition. That completely opens up questions about lap times and capabilities because of the trick suspension and exhaust bits. You didn't see Aprilia send the Factory edition, or KTM send the RC8R. I think the Duc would have faired much different with stock bits.

Nice vids.
Basically, a no frills, three year old Honda down by 20hp wiped the floor with the BMW but the Beemer has lots of cool gadgets so it wins!

Huh, the BMW dominated Masterbike this year. The thing was almost 10mph faster than anything else on the straights and put up the fastest times. The Honda was mid-pack.

Well one good thing is that no matter which one you choose...it will be a kickazz bike to own. They are all just so good these days.

For sure!! I'm not so hot on the 'priller, Zuk, or Duc.... but I would give anything to rock the other 3 japs and the KTM.

I like the new Motorcyclist where they put the Euros up against each other. I couldn't give a fuck less about Jap bikes.
