I'm pretty happy with the 556 up to this point. I've fired about 700 rounds thru it without an issue. And just with the iron sights I can get a 2" grouping from about 30 yards pretty consistantly

The iron sight on my 556 is the pitiful backup type and not the diopter sight. It wouldn't be my first choice but as part of the package with the SIG red dot (also not my first choice) and the low price, I ain't complainin' much.

We shall see how it performs next weekend when I'm gonna shoot for 100-meters + targets.

Really? Is that why IPSC top shooters use M1911s? you know, steel framed handguns?

The grip is too thick...for girly men.

Well speaking of 1911's, I like those better...........The grip is thinner

My glove size is only 8 (Small), so what do you expect?

Of a 92FS? Compared to what? A 1911/1991 is thinner, at least it feels that way to me.
