If your son is documented autistic...
I wonder if there is any precedent where denial of access to state resources (early intervention programs as provided by school system...a school system which coincidentally the Judge wants the kid to go) would run afoul of Michigan's Child Abuse And Neglect Prevention Act (which explicitly states that denial of Medical treatment constitutes neglect and I didn't notice anything stating severity or whatever) therefore justifying a call to..... never mind. I'm not a lawyer Any way you would take custody of your son? |

Its neglect. And if she is lying in court its contempt. Some judge will want to slam that shit. Go get her!

If there is a court order requiring her enroll him in programs that he's not enrolled in, it's a violation of the court order. It should be easy to get the documentation that he's not enrolled.... I'd get a lawyer on it, and go for custody rather than try to define neglect.

In most cases, I think sending your kid to a government school is neglect and child abuse. I think home school is better (private school the best), despite how others think their kids will socialize. Many people live in neighborhoods and they learn to interact with other kids. Sure they won't know how to properly roll a joint but that can be taught in college.
Anyways, if your kid has a mental retardation and requires special training and you can't afford a good private school, then I think a government school is best. Providing your ex doesn't have specific training and instruction on how to handle your child.

WTF did I say? Maybe I'm missing something becuase I just got off a night shift a 4 hours ago and can't sleep. I voiced an opinion that I felt it was better for his kid to go to a government school.
