Do you think "ratbike" is a derogatory term?
Just sold a backpack to a guy on a total ratbike. Trailer lights for a taillight, luggage rack fashioned from plumbing supplies, tank had like 4 patches on it. Total Mad Max ride. I thought it was bloody awesome. Was tempted to say "sick ratbike!" but I figured that might be more insulting than not (I'm socially awkward).
Do you consider it a derogatory term? An insult? |

I guess that depends on if the owner wanted it to be a rat bike or not...

OSP nailed it.
If the guy doesn't consider it a rat bike, it's kinda like calling a fat girl pregnant. Awkward. JC

I think the guy already knows his status in the bike world. For him to be "insulted" by being called a ratbike is like an 80 y/o being "insulted" by being called an old man. At some point you just gotta expect it ---- otherwise you're in denial.
