It was nice to see them actually acknowledge this in the comic. The "Roamers" slow down and there isnt a whole lot of them around during the winter months. A true, cold winter would have them all frozen solid. I doubt they could just thaw out from it either. Freezing a brain must be just as deadly as a hatchet.
