Most of the ones who've come here seemed to be more in a loose grouping rather than a clique. You could see them pop over to the different subforums and shoot the shit or add to the topic and all was good. They seemed to have migrated here with the same communal attitude. Then you have the ones who pick one or two subforums, refuse to venture out of them, throw a little shitfit when somebody posts in their subforums that they feel has no right to post there, and then is completely surprised when one of their "people" posts outside the party or mentions another subforum. Those folks can stay away.

And of course, there I go bitching about the ol' girlfriend. You tricked me. I'm on to your plan now.

Not at all. There's a difference between social group behavior between friends and exclusionary practices between a labeled group and everyone else. So far I've seen the former here (the good) and none of the latter (the bad).

though I will make a command decision... if your still posting after 30 days... YOU ARE NO LONGER A CF'er... your offically a TWFixer!
I think the problem is, you identify yourself one way for so many years - think of it as a marriage. We were married to CF since 2002 (Beginning of 2004, for me) and went through a sudden, unexpected divorce. Now we're trying to get re-married to another forum that already has kids, and we keep forgetting to say our new last name, and we're adjusting to the new family life. A little embarassing, but we'll get the hang of it.

If there wasn't a New Posts button, I don't know if we could still be friends.

Yeah TWF was only around from 04. I joined in late 05. A lot of us are around that time frame and we lost it earlier this year.

I am a new posts refresher, but use my active posts a lot too. Front page is too small for me.

Most of us refugees are regulars on CF, a few of us quite the post whores, me included. As soon as I get settled in my new place, I'll be posting here with more regularity & branching out into the other subforums.

So far I think we'll all meld together into one big dysfunctional family quite nicely.

As far as talking about CF, I think it's pretty understandable given human nature to be upset & bitch about a severance from something or someone we felt close to. Like anything, time will heal the hurt, anger, & feeling of being torn from something we were once close to. And hopefully, we'll all be wiser.
